i reaaaallly hope octavia's hypocrisy is reserved early on in the third season, because stella isn't even secretive about how little she cares about her family, ESPECIALLY not in sinsmas. as little sense as it makes that stolas would be the one to push octavia past the point of blind parental trust, i can deal with it so long as we see stella getting her just desserts as well.

HOW? We see him call exactly two imps sexy (Blitz and Striker), and he only ever shows actual interest in one of them. He doesn't even sexualize anything unique to imps which is what an imp fetish would entail, just Blitz's dick, which like, yeah. Finding the dude he routinely has sex with and wants to be in a committed relationship with unbearably sexy isn't fetishizing imps as a whole, it's not even fetishizing Blitz.

In public his flirting is incredibly lame and practically chaste, and in private (+ the one time he thinks is private but isn't because he forgets Octavia can still hear him from that distance) he goes so over-the-top it's clear he's either making shit up on the spot or copying something he found in poorly written erotica. And you know what he does the second Blitz shows he's genuinely upset over Stolas "making it really clear all the time" that he wants nothing from Blitz but sex? He stops completely. The only time he even vaguely flirts with Blitz after that is to snap him out of a panic spiral and hype him up. That shows it wasn't anything but Stolas thinking Blitz was into that kind of dirty talk, and Stolas trying (and failing) to be cute and flirty in public.

Just because Blitz says Stolas has an imp fetish doesn't make it true. He's the world's most unreliable narrator, with insecurities that run deeper than the Mariana Trench and a complete inability to believe anyone could actually love him, platonicly or otherwise. Y'all are just so ready to make bad faith takes against Stolas, it's wild.

What is going on with Stolas??

Something is off, it has been clear since The Full Moon and I have a theory about it.

There are a few moments in TFM but mostly in Apology Tour that rub me off the wrong way, as if Stolas himself is going subtly out of canon in his behaviour. Considering that Helluva Boss is an animated show and there is nothing not intentional in an animated show, I bet my two cents that the main reason for this vibe resides in this frame

Stolas ran out of his happy pills (the equivalent of antidepressant I assume) in the beginning of The Full Moon and for what we know he might still be off his medication by the time Apology Tour happens a few days (?) later. Back then I thought that missing a medication once wouldn’t be so impactful, but after reading a little about how antidepressant works I now believe that the disastrous ending of The Full Moon was at least in part caused by that. Stolas had a vision of how the night should have gone and once Blitzø doesn’t behave the way Stolas hoped, he just shuts down completely, failing to notice that Blitzø was, indeed, desperately trying to fight to stay with him. In a very wrong way, but Blitzø at this point still has no idea of the years of yelling and abuse Stolas had to endure, so he couldn’t know his anger would have triggered the other.

Another concerning sign is Stolas covering up all the portraits leaving only Octavia visible. Where is she by the way? The palace seems completely empty if not for Pringles the butler that we see for a second in the beginning. The palace is empty and dark.

The signs that something is off with Stolas become even more obvious in Apology Tour. Stolas doesn’t really miss the fact that Blitzø is somehow desperately trying to spend time with him and make up for what happened in TFM, in fact he teases him [Oh yes, very boring (relationships), what are you doing here then?] but he is not in the right mindspace to accept it or to listen to him and read between the lines. In Just Look My Way Stolas clearly sees how Blitzø is hiding to protect himself from the world that doesn’t comprehend him, but in Apology Tour that awareness is completely gone and all is left is resentment. Then Stolas snaps at Blitzø calling him out for not bothering to come and save him from Striker, but when we think about the end of Western Energy we see that Stolas is not angry or disappointed about Blitzø not coming to his rescue, he is only sad because he realises that his feelings for the imp are probably one-sided.

I haven’t seen anyone pointing this out but I noticed something sticking out like a sore thumb. Stolas is a prince and he was born and raised in luxury, so I can’t really place this behaviour that happens twice.

He arrives at the party and he grabs an abandoned red cup, empties it and drinks from it. This was his first drink for the night, or at least he seems very much sober there, but he deliberately uses a dirty cup to pour himself a drink. Later he straight up steals a drink from a succubus that was passing by, ok he is drunk, but still… it feels so off.

At this point Stolas is completely intoxicated and the conversation with Blitzø turns into a double monologue. It still tells a lot seeing how the two of them interact and protect each other and are utterly comfortable being together (do they even realise? I don’t think so), but still they end up with Blitzø being direct and honest for the first time while Stolas does three things: He doesn’t listen to what Blitzø is saying, he answers back but it’s all very generic and he keeps forgetting Blitzø is there at all.

Blitzø: Stolas, you are better off without me. Kay? You deserve so much… I don’t even know why you would want to be with me.

Stolas: You wanna know what I want? I want to know what it’s like to not be alone. I want to be someone’s someone. […]

Maybe at this point Stolas is too hurt to address Blitzø directly, it seems like he just gave up on him already, he decided Blitzø doesn’t want or love him so he keeps talking about a generic someone. Then he rants about how he needs for this someone to hold him and look at him and… he forgets again that Blitzø is right there. -You! Why are you here? I don’t want you here, go home please! Let me not feel so sad!

And then the Better than Blitzo Guy arrives and… I really don’t want to go down that rabbit hole because it hurts a lot. But here I am so I’ll go down there shortly. While I am perfectly ok (I’m truly not) with Stolas exploring new relationships and finally having fun and feel seen and wanted, I can still see how hooking up at a party while you are going through the worst breakup of your life is as maladaptive as a coping mechanism as it is to drink themselves to oblivion. Regardless of the Better than Blitzo Guy’s intentions with Stolas, it’s still a self-destructive behaviour. And again, Stolas is having fun dancing and making out with the Better Than Blitzo Guy and forgets Blitzø was even there.

That hurts man.

So this is it. This is the rant. I am so worried for my birdie babe Stolas!

It's interesting that the episode description straight up warned for Stolas lacking self-awareness. It's more or less a confirmation that Stolas and his character arc aren't finished, and between that and the content of the last couple episodes, I ended up going back through the series and looking at the path he's taken so far. Warning now, there's a lot of 'deconstructing' Stolas at first, but I do think he's on a positive trajectory and the set up serves as foundation for future character development.

Anyway for anyone interested in a from-the-beginning rundown of Stolas's arc, full post is below.

From his first conversation with Blitzø, you have Stolas in his bath making the favors for favors offer, while Blitzø is working and in a life-or-death situation. The language Stolas is using is too formal; it causes communication issues, and Blitzø has to tell him to stop using "rich person talk." The scene that sets up their whole dynamic is 1. Stolas establishing the transaction (given he could've straight up punished Blitzø for stealing or just taken back the book, this isn't bad; it just is), 2. Stolas at leisure while Blitzø's job has him in danger, and 3. the class/education difference resulting in Blitzø having difficulty understanding what Stolas is saying.

Move forward to Loo Loo Land. The language Stolas uses with Blitzø gets a lot of attention already, as does Stolas's rather poor grasp of social cues/difficulty seeing outside his own perspective causing him to clash with Octavia. One point I don't see raised as often is that Stolas hiring Blitzø to spend time together, when he doesn't need a bodyguard, and then sexualizing Blitzø while he does his job, is both condescending, and doesn't show much respect for what Blitzø actually does. He pays him more or less to put on a show, so Stolas can indulge a fantasy of them having a relationship (not because he's evil, because he doesn't know better).

Then you've got Stolas in the newest episode, getting annoyed with Blitzø for saying he thought Stolas couldn't be hurt because he was immortal. That if I.M.P. could handle Striker, Stolas surely could. Stolas's sarcastic, "It's not an imp's place to protect a Goetia, is it?" comes across different when considering Stolas literally once hired them as mock bodyguards. It just... escapes him, why Blitzø would think the idea of Stolas needing their help is outrageous. Never mind how clear Stolas's rescue in Truthseekers made their power disparity. Stolas often has trouble putting himself in other people's shoes, and it shows here.

The Harvest Moon Festival brings in Striker, who's basically a "class problems" mouthpiece, exaggerated for emphasis. He even remarks directly on how Stolas's treatment of Blitzø can look from the outside. There's also the episode's opening bedroom scene, where Stolas's idea of flirty talk is copious use of microaggressions, plus the later scene with Blitzø snapping about Stolas not using his proper name. It's likely not an accident that these things happen the same episode Striker appears.

Truthseekers has "impish little plaything," with honorable mention to Stolas pinching Blitzø's cheek and scolding I.M.P. like children. But it also has Blitzø's vision all but screaming how Stolas makes him feel. On the one hand, it's Stolas who brings him back to himself. He washes away the muck. He's something beautiful amidst the ugliness. But he's on a pedestal, he has Blitzø in chains. He has shadow Blitzøs fanning him like servants, and Blitzø stumbles away from him blind and mute, smothered by feathers.

Ozzie's is actually good for Stolas's development, because he gets his first reality check when Blitzø makes it clear he thinks Stolas only wants sex. (It also shows how Stolas feels about Blitzø behind the bad erotic-novel scripts he's been using, which is the first time the audience sees this outright). After that, Stolas realizes his relationship with Blitzø was problematic. He sees the transaction and gets rid of it, and he senses something off with his behavior that has him start calling Blitzø by name and stopping with the 'plaything' type remarks.

But the past two episodes have made it evident he'd made those realizations in a vacuum. His broader class awareness is basically nonexistent, and when Blitzø tries raising the issue, he groups Blitzø with Striker by default, as if any criticism of his status/wealth/privilege is unreliable and antagonistic toward him specifically. He refuses to sincerely consider that Blitzø isn't merely judging him, and that he might be saying something with legitimate basis.

The Circus is especially interesting. Aside from the commentary underlying the 'buying Blitzø' plot, the episode shows Stolas getting scolded by Paimon like a dog for showing respect to an imp; that likely wouldn't have been an isolated incident. It's played somewhat for humor ("I'm so good at daddying"), but it also shows why he'd have so much trouble with things like microaggressions. He has literally been trained to hold himself above others. And just going off the way Stolas is framed at Stella's party, isolated and alone, being laughed at by Stella and her friends, I suspect Stolas may see himself as a "good rich person," because he doesn't seem to fit well with the Goetia either; he's laughed at and bullied, he lacks privilege in his own ways. He identifies more with other demons than his own class--and it blinds him, I think, to the fact that he is still part of his class, and isn't immune to the problems that come with that.

Even in Seeing Stars, there's the moment with Stolas all but strangling that poor butler and hardly seeming to notice. In an episode that's almost entirely focused on father-daughter relationships, that still gets tossed in. Regarding the Octavia plot, Stolas lacking self-awareness comes up again; it's understandable that he's distracted with the divorce, and we do see him try to resolve the issue, but it feels like a quiet alarm indicating hey, you might have a recurring problem where your daughter is concerned.

Western Energy is another 'Striker shouting that class issues matter in this show' moment. While I think Stolas going the 'well, you're part of the system, so you can't complain' route when Striker tries bringing it up is loosely relevant, I also don't blame him for that one. Poor guy is being tortured, he deserves some slack. Oops, in my opinion, shows Stolas at his best; he's just been turned down by Ozzie, but he still sticks around and helps. We even see how sincerely happy he is when Fizz returns. It's a good example of how decent Stolas can be beneath it all, as well as his sense of romance appearing in a healthier way.

Then come Full Moon and Apology Tour, where most of the Stolas subtext gets screamed and/or bitterly snapped in his face by Blitzø. It's stated directly by the main character that those things matter, in a way that imo portrays Blitzø as at least partially sympathetic. And of course the Apology Tour episode description, yelling it for the folks in back.

What all this is trying to say is: 90% of Stolas's time on screen has set him up to have a 'getting more self aware' arc. I see a lot of accusations of the show babying Stolas, but I think it's more that it hasn't gotten around to doing what it wants with Stolas. There are 4 seasons. We're in the second. We've had Stolas's post-Ozzie's revelation, and now he's getting a lot more "you're part of the problem" feedback thrown his way. It's implied Octavia is going to contribute to that as well.

Anyway!! My personal guess so far is that if the "loses his powers and/or titles" theory that's been going around has any merit, that's going to instigate the start of actual, substantial change. Will that actually happen? No idea. But Stolas's flaws have been as articulated and developed as Blitzø's, and at this point, if the consequences aren't explored in the same way, it'll be dropping a ball that's already well in the air. I also think this isn't going to be a "fixed by the end of season 2" thing. Stolas problably won't appear again until Mastermind, and then there's just Sinsmas. There isn't time for him to change in two episodes. There is, however, time for him to have some big realizations, and for the change to happen next season.

I can't believe this needs to be said but...

Can we stop attacking Stolas for how he handled himself? He loves Octavia, and he loves Blitzo̶. They're the ones he loves the most.

Yes, he was on antidepressants to deal with the abuse from Stella. She openly stated how much she hated being married to him and treated him like crap. She even plotted his murder AT THE DINNER TABLE.

Yes, during Mastermind he chose to save Blitzo̶. Even given everything that happened between them, Stolas still has strong feelings for the imp. He chose Blitzo̶ for more than one reason. When Stolas slept with him the first time, he genuinely felt wanted and that he could love him, something he never felt from his own wife.

Yes, he stayed with Stella for Octavia. He genuinely loved her as a father but sometimes parents fuck up. It's life! She's also a teenager, and while she is justified, she can misunderstand the situation just like anyone else. Stolas even tried calling her for a month after he snapped out of his self-pity party.

Stolas' actions may not be what everyone wants, but one thing no one has even stated is...depression hits everyone differently. He just shuts down when he feels all is lost. Stolas is quick to make certain decisions because of anxiety, too. Why else would he give up everything without taking the time to think about it?

He didn't consciously make the decision to abandon his child, but one of his two greatest loves was in danger and he was saving him whether or not it cost his life.

Octavia was never in danger except for her gaslighting mother and uncle, which have basically had a whole month to poison her opinion of her father. And yet, she still tried to bring Stolas his happy pills.

Please just remember: these fictional characters from Hell are very human. Ironically, they may be more human than some actual humans.

That being said...I've watched the episode multiple times already.

I had another thought pertaining to Mastermind (S2 Ep11).

Because we know that Stolas got banished for the next 100 years, which means he's been stripped of his powers, and his home, and essentially the life he had been living up to this point.

And the last time that Octavia see's him, he's putting his head down, believing that he is about to die.

And as I pointed out in another post, Loona looks so afraid for him:

And since she's just experienced firsthand what it's like to believe that your Dad is about to die, and you not only have to witness it, but you don't have the chance to say a proper goodbye - I'm sure that she's thinking about Via, and wondering if she is seeing the same thing happening now. (I'm sure she also is scared because she's beginning to understand why Stolas is so important to Blitz).

Which leads me to the thought I had. In Seeing Stars (S2 Ep2), when Via stole the grimoire and went up to the living world, Stolas had to go looking for her, with the help of Blitz and the I.M.P. crew.

And Loona snapped a picture for her Sinstagram while she was there, and used #earthshit - which helped her to find Via's posts/account.

Given that she was the one who ended up finding her by following her Sinstagram posts, and that they had a heart-to-heart, and shared an embrace...

I'm now wondering if maybe Loona will reach out to Via through Sinstagram (since she now knows her account name) to let her know that Stolas is alive, and that he's staying with them.

I feel like it would be great to show more of how observational she actually is.

In Ghost Fuckers (S2 Ep10), we saw her taking care of Moxxie. She caught his mathematical mistake, and she then purposely put on a musical episode of Ghost Fuckers when he started having a breakdown, because she knows he's a real theatre kid.

So, clearly, she pays attention to details.

And I would imagine that she would reach out to Via because of this. She knows that the trial was broadcast to all of Hell, and that that means there's a chance that Via saw it too. And since Stolas has been banished, Loona may very well just try to be the link between Father and Daughter; allowing them to communicate through her, to avoid Stella finding out about it.

I don't know, it was just a thought I had, and now I really need Loona to reach out to her should-be sister, to let her know that Stolas is physically okay.

Although Via has a mum already, they don’t exactly have the best relationship

Alot of the time, the owlet feels as though her mum only uses her as a pawn against her dad

So when her parents hire you to help with her schooling - she can’t help but feel brushed off yet again

But slowly, the two of you build a relationship

You’re not like her other tutors

You’re passionate, and you let her go on tangents about astronomy whenever it’s even a little relevant

You’re patient, and you understand things in a way Via can understand

Over time, Via starts opening up to you, telling you about her parents - how their fighting affects her

And you comfort her

But, she’d always sort of assumed they were just kind words

So one day; when her parents storm in fighting yet again - she’s caught off guard when you stand up from the table

Even more so when you tell them both in a firm voice and a withering stare that they needed to take their arguments elsewhere

Because they were making Via uncomfortable

So when her parents finally leave

The teen can’t help but run over to hug you tightly, whispering a quiet ‘thank you’

The satan character is decent.

A judge and a reasonable one at that who it seems is well respected among his peers, all the sins but sadboy showed to his court, there was plenty of room to speak and this court session was abruptly held because of one little snitch (with a good case) so we get the impression that he is a stickler for rules and justice.

No idea how powerful he is but he showed us something that this series has been lacking which is a hierarchy. A stickler for the rules but clearly had some favouritism and affection for Stolas who sits high as royalty, was Stolas spared by satan or is there a known and accepted exception to the rules when it comes to royalty? That was left open.

Stolas's punishment, if it's committed to could actually something excellent for his characters growth, the opportunity to genuinely slum it and gain empathy and appreciation for what is a lifetime to the average person.

I like how the moment Stolas lost his position the general public would turn on him, again, finally establishing that these titles stand for something.

We're definitely not missing out on sadboy Lucifer over at the hangout hotel, he truly isn't needed.

Stella can love her daughter and loathe her husband who loathed her right back. No proof that's she's the incompetent parent. Nothing hard to understand here. The Octavia scene could have made Stella look more of a villain had this all been her plan but no, her brother pulls the strings.

Still, Stella remains interesting .

I appreciate that Mammon was tediously bored, unbothered and was looking forward to taking a break to eat, like many people forced to be at meetings, this further told us that these meetings are something that must be attended like it or not.

They really laid it on thick that nobody likes this guy and were so petty about it, reminding us that he's gross, fat, glutinous, stupid, unfocused, childlike and doesn't get that those who aren't snapping at him don't like him either.

Were we supposed to find a grownup playing with toys that ranged from fidgit to toddler an annoyance or amusing, since the whole direction of this character is that he's offputting and wrong in every way possible?

Mammon had no time for Stolas's song yet Stolas would approach him briefly and knock over his building blocks, is his lack of interest in 'emotional' song and dance another reason we should be disliking him, who didn't have a song to sing in his episode where he additionally broke the mould of 'no fun'?

Why does Bee have issue with him? Wasn't she a fun, dismissive and shallow, binge eating and drinking pushing party girl when we last saw her? Couldn't these two easily be close?

What exactly is ancient Ozzie's issue with ancient Mammon outside of the past 10 years with 30 something Fizz?

Bee and Ozzie being attached at the hip and practically sharing lines is so tacky. They're reduced to cheering on Blitzø despite their few exchanges with him, exchanges which involved unresolved critique, these two are truly the worst, they got worst, Ozzie heckled Blitzø on before he got neutered, but after neutering he knows that Stolas had been lending out his grimore, Blitzø no longer has Stolas's book but now has Ozzie's crystal, so he's unser his jurisdiction now, a deal Stolas and Ozzie made behind Blitzø's back, how about talking about that? Bee on the other hand got neutered during her introduction, when she all of a sudden saw Blitzø as a huge problem that was ruining her party and killing a vibe though we saw no NPC walking out, now she's arguing that he's harmless? We don't get much of them but the brief moments we do get just dump on their credibility further but hey, what matters is they're both dating on Blitzø and co. level so they're 'nice guys'.

Two sides of the same coin is what they are. Though their opening lines were to cape for Blitzø things soon turned to Bee sex shaming Mammon, yes Queen Bee, the prince gluttony who sat cringing at Mammon's gluttonous display, makes the sex remark. I repeat, coin, two sides.

Really gives more credence to critism of fat phobia and acephobia (because asexual means nobody wants you, it's just another word for incel) that I've seen, there may be room to throw neuro divergence ignorance in there too.

Could they beat Alastor in a fight?

Yes. Charlie could blink and he would be out of existence. No trace left. She's only holding back because she's kind. Same with Lucifer except he's not gonna hurt him for his daughters sake.

Yes. She is an exoristst and one of the top in her filed. If not the best. She could kill him SO quickly if she really wanted to. She choses not to become they need his help. When he betrays the hotel she won't hold back.

It depends. Angel has no magic so he wouldn't beat him if Alastor had his magic. If it was physically strength Angel would clear him. He's a mafioso he could do it.

No she couldn't. She's clever and stealthy but Alastor is just too strong for her.

Same as before, physically Husk would destroy Alastor without magic. With magic no I don't think so.

Stolas and Octavia could take him out almost as fast as Charlie and Lucifer. A snap of the fingers for stolas and one incantation for Octavia. Sure she's just a kid but she's an ars goetian kid.

Rosie and Alastor are pretty evenly matched but I think Alastor would win.

This is NOT Alastor slander I love Alastor. He's strong and cool but the cast is just so stacked against him. For an ovelord he's kind of a loser. His arrogance is his main downfall. Sure most of these characters have some arrogance but Alastors is way worse. When your too confident you can't really improve. He's not critiquing himself at any point. No ovelord would stand a chance against Adam, but they would have the sense to not straight a fight with him.

✨️ Regressor!Stolas and CG!Blitzø Headcanons ✨️

Warning: Contains spoilers from "Mastermind" and "Sinsmas", trauma, domestic abuse, mention of physical abuse

How it happened:

Stolas is usually Blitzø's caregiver. He already knows how to look after regressors since he is also a parent.

However, he has been secretly wanting to regress for a variety of chronological reasons: his childhood, the pressure of being a prince, his failed relationship with Stella, and the divorce. He pushed that wish aside because he genuinely loved to care for those around him. It was in his nature to be a guardian.

Also, he has been told many times by Stella that looking after himself was selfish, and he should be focused on her and his royal duties.

The events of Mastermind and Sinsmas were what broke the straw off the camel's back for Stolas. His mental health took a toll for the worse. He was missing his daughter, Octavia. The last words she said to him before she stormed off emotionally stabbed his heart. His mind also replayed multiple memories up to that point. He couldn't eat or sleep, and the I.M.P. grew concerned.

One day at work, Stolas couldn't focus on anything as usual. His mind snapped, and he involuntarily regressed during a meeting. He curled up into a ball and sobbed. Millie, Moxxie, Blitzø, and Loona were stunned and worried. They have seen the owl break down before, but not to this extent. Stolas saw their expressions and felt much worse. He didn't want to upset the group in front of him. It was bad enough that he upset lots and lots of people. Stolas tried to apologize, but his words were inchoherent, replaced with babbles. Blitzø told Millie, Moxxie, and Loona to carry on with the meeting. He took Stolas to the break room and wrapped his arms around him. The imp wasn't sure what was going on, but he knew for a fact that the former prince needed a shoulder to lean on.

It took a while for Stolas to calm down, and his headspace was back to normal. He apologized to Blitzø for his meltdown, but the latter reassured him that he had nothing to apologize for.

Blitzø decided to close work early so Stolas could have a mental health day. The owl tried to tell him that he didn't need a break, but Blitzø told him that it was all good and that business was slow because of the post-holiday blues.

When they got home, Blitzø allowed Loona to go hang out with her friends while he made sure Stolas was okay.

After Blitzø made some tea and grabbed some blankets, he handed the items to Stolas. He then asked if he wanted to talk about how he was holding up.

Stolas was reluctant to say anything. No one, other than Octavia, wanted to check in on him. He shakily sighed and said that he was still broken from what happened at the trial and on Sinsmas. He also said that he wanted to regress, but he couldn't bring himself to do it because of his former royal life. Plus, he was so used to caring for everyone.

Blitzø said he was grateful for Stolas being his caregiver when he regressed. The imp suggested that they should switch places for a while. The owl was unsure about this, but Blitzø said that he doesn't have to be little forever and that his caregiver status wasn't going to be revoked. Blitzø also reminded Stolas that he needed to learn to let others take care of him.

The former prince agreed after some pondering and allowed Blitzø to baby him.

Headcanons:

Stolas is rather timid and quiet when he's regressed. He uses notecards to say what's on his mind. He also replies with simple nods or head shakes.

The owl is also very sweet and courteous, just like when he was a child (The Circus). He always wants to help everyone out.

Stolas struggles with taking care of himself, which is why Blitzø made a daily routine for him to help listen to his body.

Stolas doesn't know what his little age is. He just knows that he is tiny.

He doesn’t use a lot of agere gear other than pacis and sippy cups.

He also doesn't wear onesies (they’re not his cup of tea). He's more into sweaters, hoodies, and matching pajamas.

Whenever Blitzø gives Stolas outfits to try on for his regression, his reaction is usually this because he finds the owl so adorable and precious:

Blitzø will spoil his baby with agere gear and stuffies. Stolas tries to tell him that he doesn't have to, but the imp insists that it's not a problem and that he deserves the world.

Stolas likes listening to Coldplay and Novo Amor. He also likes lo-fi and piano versions of lullabies and nursery rhymes. This kind of music helps him calm down.

Stolas tries his hardest to be on his best behavior. He doesn't want to be seen as a burden if he makes a mistake (even though Blitzø tells him that he's never a burden and that nobody's perfect).

The owl has a fear of being struck because of his father and Stella having records of hitting him. However, Blitzø promises to not violently lay a hand on him because he himself has been abused by his own father.

He doesn't throw tantrums when he's regressed. He does, however, have emotional breakdowns whenever he has incredibly big feelings or when something triggers his traumatic past.

When he's regressed, he's more than likely to suppress his feelings because of what he was told as a bodily child. 👇

However, Blitzø tells the owl that it's okay to have big feelings and let them all out.

Blitzø made Stolas a special little corner of the apartment for him to help cope with said feelings or just to regress alone if he wants to.

Since Stolas likes botany, Blitzø also made a mini garden for him to take care of. It's not the same as the greenhouse that Stolas used to own, but he still loves what Blitzø did for him. The owl really enjoys talking about the progress of the mini garden and his scientific findings.

The imp stumbled upon Slumberkins while searching for something Stolas could watch. It was safe to say that the little owl grew obsessed with the show.

Blitzø got Stolas a couple of Slumberkins stuffies.

Stolas also likes to collect Jellycats.

The owl also grew to like Bear in the Big Blue House, Wishbone, Stanley, Reading Rainbow, Elinor Wonders Why, Puffin Rock, Carl the Collector, Lu and the Bally Bunch, Between the Lions, Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Carl the Collector, Moomins, Bluey, and Blue's Clues. He likes any show or movie that is slow-paced. He also likes watching family-friendly nature documentaries.

Stolas is a HUGE book nerd. His regression is mostly spent reading by himself or being read by Blitzø.

Just like in Sinsmas, Blitzø will eat lava eggs and warm Stolas up when he cuddles with him.

Loona knows about Stolas's regression. She found it a bit weird, but she didn't mind nor judge. As long as Stolas was okay and healing, she was happy for him. She sometimes helps Blitzø out by doing things like laying out clothes for Stolas when the imp is giving him a bath.

Stolas regresses at home. It was bad enough that he now had a tarnished reputation and was scorned by the public. He didn't want his regression to be another reason to be ridiculed and harassed. Blitzø reassures Stolas that if that if his headspace does drop slip in public, he and the I.M.P. will be there for him.

There have been a few times when Stolas regressed at work involuntarily after his breakdown. Loona willingly takes over the receptionist stuff when that happens. The three imps and hellhound made Stolas a little regression spot in the break room if his headspace drops.

Stolas is known to be very artsy-fartsy. He expresses his emotions through arts and crafts. He decorated Blitzø’s pacis before. Now, the owl decorates his own soothers.

He is also a very sleepy little guy when tiny. You can find him napping on the couch or in his regression corners at home or at work.

Blitzø continues letting Stolas be his caregiver whenever he regresses, and the owl's headspace is big. Loona also looks after Blitzø when he's small sometimes.

Taking care of little Stolas has helped Blitzø grow as an individual. It helps heal his inner child and be the father figure he never had to someone else (alongside his Loony, whom he also adores with his heart).

STOLITZØ - FIFTY THREE

After some brief and teary reunions, everyone had gathered in Blitzø’s room. The doctor had done a thorough examination of Blitzø a short while beforehand and was now ready to go over Blitzø’s prognosis and next steps with everyone.

The doctor paced in the middle of the room flipping through Blitzø’s chart while the others watched and waited.

Stolas stood at the head of the bed to Blitzø’s left, Fizzarolli to the right and Asmodeus lurked behind him.

Loona sat to Blitzø’s right. The M&Ms were to his left. Millie sat on the bed by his legs, Moxxie stood on a chair in front of Stolas.

Octavia chose the armchair out of the way, feeling less like part of the family, but still wanting to be there with everyone.

“What’s the matter with his eye?” Blitzø mumbled to no one in particular as he watched the doctor pace absentmindedly.

Asmodeus snorted and leaned down. “You hit him in your sleep.”

Blitzø looked up at him in surprise. “Did he deserve it?”

“We think so.” Fizzarolli grumbled.

“Good for me then,” Blitzø laughed.

His laugh startled the doctor and he seemed to realize he was still in a room full of people. Remembering he was supposed to be doing something the little goat began.

“We are going to need to keep Mr. Blitzø here for another two to four weeks during his initial recovery.”

“I’m sorry but WHAT?” Blitzø snapped.

“Darling. Please.” Stolas touched his shoulder and looked down at him pleadingly. Blitzø felt guilty so he sighed and shut his mouth.

“A head trauma and surgery like yours is serious.” The doctor continued. “Initial recovery is at least four to six weeks. And you’ll need to continue therapies for several months afterwards as well as…”

“MONTHS?!” Blitzø jolted upright. “The F*CK you SAY!”

“Dad!” Loona snapped at him.

Blitzø cringed. “Loony…?” He’d never seen her look at him like that before.

“Just listen to him.” Loona’s voice cracked. “Please.”

Blitzø saw the raw pain in her eyes.

He took her hand, squeezed it and smiled apologetically.

Stolas’s heart ached as he watched their exchange. “Please. Continue.” He told the doctor.

“Oh. Um. Yes.” The doctor blustered a moment and flipped through his papers. “As I was saying. During your initial recovery here at the hospital, we will run daily tests. We will have you doing congestive exercises to assess your mental well-being…”

Fizzarolli snorted.

Blitzø shot him a look and grinned.

Fizzarolli sat up ramrod straight, crossed his arms tight, sucked in his lips, and looked around in feigned surprise like “Oh my goodness! Who could have made that noise! How very rude of them!”

Blitzø rolled his eyes.

The doctor hadn’t noticed their exchange and had continued on, Blitzø having missed a chunk of information.

“That’s why it’ll be important for Mr. Blitzø to engage in activities that will stimulate his mind. Such as puzzles. Or interactive games. Doing art is also suggested.”

“Hear that, dad?” Loona squeezed his hand. “You can start doing your horsie doodles again!”

Blitzø smiled warmly back at her.

“Yes. Sure. Drawing is helpful.” The doctor said dismissively. “Listening to classical music or sometimes those broadway musicals is found to be helpful.”

Moxxie gasped and his eyes lit up. He slowly turned to look at Blitzø with his hands to his mouth.

“Siiiiiiir….” He was practically vibrating with excitement.

“F*ck. Okay FINE, Moxxie.” Blitzø heaved a dramatic sigh. “You can show me more of your SH*T…”

Moxxie squealed and clapped excitedly. He started whispering to Millie about things he thought he should share with Blitzø. Millie smiled and basked in her husband’s joy.

“Just please avoid too much screen time and loud sounds. Moderation is key.”

“Anything else doctor?” Stolas asked.

“No physical exertion or over-stimulation.” He said offhandedly while looking through Blitzø’s file.

Everyone shunted a shifty eye at Blitzø and then Stolas. Blitzø didn’t notice. Stolas did and blushed horribly.

“Otherwise, that’s about it. I’ll be back in a few hours to check on you. And someone will be by to help with the catheter and possible bathing.”

Blitzø cringed at the mention of his catheter but tried to play it off. “Oooo. Sponge bath? I hope I’ve at least been getting bathed by a sexy nurse this whole time.” He waggled his eyebrows.

Everyone giggled and snickered.

“What?” Blitzø looked around at everyone. “What am I missing?”

“Absolutely nothing, dad.” Loona patted him on the leg. “I think Via and I are gonna hit the caf for a coffee.” She gave Stolas a wink as she and Via headed out.

Blitzø turned to look at Stolas.

The M&Ms scuttled off into the hall, Moxxie excitedly chattering to Millie about everything he wanted to grab from home for Blitzø.

“Whelp! That’s our cue!” Fizzarolli leaned over and hugged Blitzø, and whispered “I’m glad you’re ok.”

“Thanks, Fizz.” Blitzø hugged him tight.

Asmodeus gave an amiable nod and scooped Fizzarolli up in his arms as they walked out of the room.

Stolas and Blitzø existed in awkward silence.

“So… You bathed me, huh?” Blitzø peeked up at Stolas.

“I uh… Well you see… I didn’t…” Stolas babbled and stammered. He couldn’t find the words. He felt like he was floundering.

Blitzø started to laugh. He laughed so hard he began to cry.

Stolas stood there dumbfounded.

“Oh f*ck!” Blitzø grabbed his head. “Ok… Add ‘Don’t laugh too hard’ to the list of stuff I’m not supposed to do.”

Blitzø cringed, held his head and looked up at Stolas sheepishly.

Stolas smiled meekly and shook his head.

Blitzø reached out and took one of his hands. “I’m giving you a hard time.”

Stolas blushed.

“Truth be told, I’d definitely rather have had you tending to me than some stranger.”

Stolas sat down beside his bed. “I wanted to maintain as much of your privacy as possible. There was no need for you to be exposed or on display…” His voice trailed off.

“Jealous?” Blitzø waggled his eyebrows jokingly.

Stolas averted his gaze, feeling ashamed.

“Yes. I was…” Stolas mumbled. “I’m sorry I was so small and petty.”

Blitzø reached out and touched Stolas’s chin, turning his head so Stolas had to face him. Blitzø smiled tenderly.

Stolas stared at him in wide-eyed bewilderment.

Blitzø raised an eyebrow. “You look confused?”

“I must admit… I am a little…” Stolas said quietly.

Blitzø closed his eyes, sighed and shook his head.

“Wh…What is it?” Stolas stammered.

Blitzø grabbed his chin and pulled him down into a kiss.

Stolas melted. It had been so long since they’d kissed. His mind went blank and all there was was the two of them.

Stolas leaned over the bed, reached out a shaking hand and stroked Blitzø’s cheek.

Blitzø sighed and opened his mouth to kiss him deeper.

Stolas moaned.

Blitzø let go of Stolas’s chin and ran both his hands through Stolas’s feathers, grabbing the back of his head and neck to pull him closer; kiss him even deeper.

They could feel each other’s heartbeats racing. The air grew thick and heavy.

Stolas began to feel light headed and an alarm bell went off in his head “No over-exertion or over-stimulation!”.

So just as abruptly as it began, it ended. Stolas broke the kiss. They looked at each other with bleary, dazed, lustful eyes.

Blitzø took a ragged breath and touched his forehead to Stolas’s.

“I’d be jealous too.” Blitzø whispered. “Cuz you’re too f*cking pretty, Stolas. I’ll never want to share you with anyone else.”

I decided to update my Stella redesign reference sheet! I honestly like it a lot more than my old one..

Here’s her lore! I personally saw how sad her story was before Viv decided to crap on it with the whole “UwU Stolas did nothing wrong and Stella was a big meanie oh noooo! :(“ thing. She had so much potential to be a tragic character but NOOOOO….

The Andromeda family was a relatively well-known group of bird-like creatures known throughout the purgatory Underworld. They say that these birds hatched from eggs that fell from meteor showers…

And Stella’s was the brightest of all, having fallen during a meteor shower that took place during a pink moon.

The young Stella, while ambitious and focused on her studies of the stars, was incredibly quiet and introverted, and her sensitive and kind nature brought concern to her family, especially her older brother Andrealphus. One day, her family pulled the adolescent swan aside to inform her that she had been arranged to marry the Goetia prince Stolss in about 5 years. She protested greatly, but was told to stop, as she will be considered nothing but a machine to pump out an heir and the accessory of a lavishing, well-endowed prince.

Afraid of what could happen if she said no, Stella complied, and married Stolas at the age of 18. 3 years later, the pair finally managed to have an egg hatch under a lunar eclipse; Octavia Goetia. Despite her circumstances, Stella genuinely loved and cared for her child, teaching her about the stars whenever Stolas would go off to predict the sky’s events for the Underworld. While she was content being a mother for the most part, she couldn’t say the same about being a wife to Stolas. She felt incredibly uneasy around him, as he would give her condescending remarks on her passion for the constellations and… honestly not be at home all the time. Prediction affairs, he said, we’re keeping him busy.

Stella’s reality shattered when she found out Stolas (very loudly) had an affair during their anniversary party. Heartbroken, Stella confronted the owlish prince, but was met with a rather different response; he started claiming that HE did everything to make sure they had a relatively stable life, that HE took care of Octavia’s teachings, that HE has everything under control. Stella grew angrier, trying to snap Stolas back to reality when—

She realized this wasn’t reality. It was all him.

She broke out of her daze and ran away with Octavia, which Stolas took awfully and claimed that the witch stole away his daughter. She was living with her brother for weeks on end before finding out about a demonologist who also discovered the truth. And so, Stella set out to take her in as an apprentice of sorts, helping her prepare to confront her former lover against all odds. And along the way, perhaps Stella could grow a thicker skin and learn to assert herself against Stolas, even if it meant being seen as a treacherous witch in his eyes.

And that’s pretty much it! I honestly wish she got more depth beyond being Stolas’s mean ex wife who gets in the way of Stolitz.
